Huanggang: DMT and Ethylene Glycol Capacity Goes On the Map

ResourceCycle (Hubei) New Materials Co., Ltd. is investing a total of RMB 10 million in a production project at the Huanggang chemical industry park, with annual capacity of 5,000 tonnes of high-purity Dimethyl Terephthalate (DMT) and 1,600 tonnes of ethylene glycol (EG). The plant serves PBT engineering plastics, PET resin, PETG/PCTG copolyesters, coating resins and polyester fibre — strengthening ResourceCycle's ability to actually deliver volume into the polyester-grade DMT supply chain.

A Milestone in Industrialisation

This is China's first DMT production project built on independently developed chemical-recycling technology, and it marks a decisive step for ResourceCycle in scaling high-purity DMT production alongside ethylene glycol co-production. Sited inside the Huanggang chemical industry park, the plant draws on the park's utilities, warehousing, logistics and industrial cluster to improve bulk DMT supply into central and eastern China as well as export markets.
